Geography

This week we have been looking at our very own United Kingdom! In Geography, we’ve explored the UK’s current imports and exports, as well as which countries we trade with. We then connected this back to trade in the Victorian Era, locating Northern industrial cities like Liverpool and Manchester on a map, and researching how they grew during the 1800s. In History, we looked at influential constructions during the Victorian Era, ironworks, engineering and the work of Isambard Brunel in particular. (We also built models of his bridges using art straws). Finally, in PSHE we looked at e-safety and how to respond to negativity online, all part of National Anti-Bullying Week 2019.
