Over the last fortnight, Year 5/6 have been coming to the end of writing our suspense stories in English. We have produced final drafts of our tense and thrilling tales, using our very best handwriting and presentation. In maths, we have been finishing off our work on place value and moving on to addition and subtraction. Science has been a real highlight, in which our learning about inheritance and evolution culminated in examining real fossils on loan from the Sedgwick museum. While in art, we have been looking at the prints of William Morris and designing our own nature-inspired motifs and patterns. Finally, PSHE has seen us continue our discussions about Growth Mindset and what traits an effective learner (and teacher) often possess.
