Welcome to Waterbeach Community Primary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
We are a friendly, dedicated and hard-working group of parents and staff who make up the PTA committee and organise a number of social and fundraising events throughout the year in order to raise money for the school.
Do you know that every parent/carer who has a child at Waterbeach Community Primary School is already a member of the PTA? So why not come along to one of our meetings or learn more about us!
Paid for by the PTA
We raise money to buy items for the school and sponsor activities for the children that aren’t covered by school budgets. Some examples of funding that the PTA has provided/contributed towards:
- The new KS1 playground climbing trail
- A visit by the mobile planetarium
- Coaches for the Yr3 trip to Wandlebury
- Class sets of books
- Reception class furniture
- Outdoor play equipment and playground furniture
- A welcome present for every reception child
- A present for every Year 6 leaver
- Snacks and drinks for class Christmas parties and end of year parties
- Library furniture
- A memorial bench for Mrs Rabbett
The PTA will be supporting all the yearly activities above and many other exciting opportunities which we will share with you throughout the year.
Easy Fundraising
Did you know, every time you ‘click through’ from one website to another, somebody somewhere makes some money? The lovely people at easyfundraising use that principle to raise money for good causes, like us. Here’s how it works.
1. Sign up at:
www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/waterbeachsch/
It does not ask for your payment details, and you only have to do this once.
2. Follow the instructions to download the ‘Donation Reminder’.
This is a little bit of software that adds one click to your online shop. From now on, when you’re shopping online at the retailers below, a small box will appear asking if you want to raise money for Waterbeach School. Click yes and continue to shop as usual. The retailer then gives a small % of any money you spend to the school. To be clear, it’s not your money! The shops below (and many many more) give money to our school.
Repeat step 2 for all computers you use for shopping. There is an app for phones, too.
Pass on this information to anyone else who wants to raise money for us as they shop.
Waterbeach School has now raised over £2000 using easyfundraising. It really is easy.

Other Ways to Help
The school is always looking for donations of good quality toys and books to be used in school. So if you have anything you are able to donate, please take it to the school office.
Stilkins – The PTA is excited to announce that we have teamed up with Stikins to offer parents the opportunity to purchase quality labels for their children’s school uniform and even in shoes, whilst earning the school commission at the same time! This money can then be used to continue to help purchase some of the fantastic resources that benefit our children’s learning.
How it works: Each order placed quoting the school reference number 24588 will provide the school with 30% commission. If you click here to order your labels online, the number is filled in automatically for you!
