Common Exception word lists

The expectation is that each child will be able to read, spell and understand each of the words on these lists by the time they finish that particular year group (or the upper year group in the case of mixed year groups, i.e. Year 4 and Year 6). These words need to be learnt as they are considered to be common words that fall outside the regular spelling patterns that are also taught each year.
