One last challenge to raise money for our wonderful PTA...

Support Miss Green....

Dear Parents and Carers,

Over my years in this school, I have been very privileged to have had fantastic support from parents for my challenges. These have included a walk around the Norfolk Coast and a cycle ride from Lands’ End to John O Groats. These challenges have raised approximately £10, 000 for school.

Before I leave in July, I would like to complete one last challenge to raise money for our wonderful PTA. This is a final “thank you” from me for everything that they have done to help our school and your children. I feel very strongly that school funding is currently so poor that often schools are not able to buy the extras that our children deserve. It is a sad fact that without our PTA, our children would not have so many trips, they would not have a library in school and the extra playground equipment, and resources would just not be provided. There are so many wonderful things that our children have, just because of this dedicated group of people.

I have signed up to swim 5km as part of the National Swimathon challenge and will be completing this at Parkside Swimming Pool on Saturday 27th April (hopefully).  This is 200 lengths - I have been training for this since August so am hoping to manage the distance.

I would be really grateful if you could sponsor me one last time. All sponsorship money from Waterbeach parents will go to the PTA.

The PTA have set up a page where you can donate sponsorship money  - it can be found here https://www.justgiving.com/page/jane-green If you would rather - you and/ or your children could set yourselves a swimming challenge at a local pool and raise sponsorship money for your own challenge. This would be a great way to get active and support the school.

I do understand that the rising cost of living makes this request difficult for families, so any little contribution made will be very gratefully received. As a famous supermarket says, “Every Little Helps”.

Thank you all so much.

Miss Green
